James Gough is a very experienced company director, Christchurch City Councillor and member of the Canterbury District Health Board.

James is a fourth term city councillor and a director of Christchurch City Holdings Limited, the Council’s $4.6 billion investment arm with commercial interests in: Lines company Orion; Christchurch International Airport; Lyttleton Port Company; City Care; Eco Central; and Enable Networks.  James is also chair of Civic Building Limited, a Joint Venture with Ngai Tahu Property Limited.

James is a member of the Canterbury District Health Board which operates five major hospitals in Christchurch and Ashburton, with a further 30 rural hospitals and community bases across the region.

James’ other directorships include Gough Corporation Holdings Limited, Gough Property Corporation Limited and The Terrace on Avon Limited.  He is a former director of Gough Group/Gough Holdings Limited, a privately-held heavy equipment and transport solutions company, and of various other land and property development businesses in Canterbury.

Over past years, James has been involved with various charitable trusts at fundraising or committee level, including the Bone Marrow Cancer Trust, the Diabetes Research Institute Trust, the Maclean Institute Trust and the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust.
