Duncan, the Founder and Director of Hardie Pacific, has 50 years’ experience in the New Zealand and Australian property sectors. Complementing the property portfolio, Duncan has made regional pacific investments in energy, minerals, technology and biotech.
In recent years Duncan has supported biotech research to contribute to improving health outcomes. Duncan joins the Medical Kiwi Board after our recent acquisition of Hardie Health Pty Limited, a company he founded five years ago in association with Malaita Island landholders, Ferrier Research Institute of Victoria University of Wellington and others. Duncan’s Sydney based Proteios Pty Ltd, whose shareholders include the University of Sydney, continues its work on the novel RP23 product. Duncan also has several other Sydney based biotech projects.
Other major assets of Duncan’s NZ company include being the largest shareholder in Westland Mineral Sands Limited, holding permits containing in excess of 50m tonnes of heavy mineral concentrate (HMC), which include strategic minerals and rare earths; and the Otago based Smylers Gold, which holds EP’s down-dip from the Macrae’s Shear Zone.
